Jump starting a car without jumper cables takes under two minutes:

1. Connect the red jump start clamp to the positive (+) terminal on the dead battery
2. Connect the black jump start clamp to a ground point or the negative (−) terminal
3. Spark-proof technology confirms connection before any current flows
4. Start the vehicle — crank for up to 5 seconds per attempt with 30 seconds between attempts
5. Disconnect the clamps and store

How to Jump Start a Motorcycle, ATV, or Powersports Vehicle

4. Attempt to start — crank for no more than 3–5 seconds; powersports batteries are small and recover quickly
5. Disconnect and reinstall the seat or cover
