PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This product has been replaced by the PowerTender® 8 Amp/2 Amp 12V Battery Charger and Maintainer (022-1005) — upgraded with IP65 weather resistance and Lithium Multi-Chemistry support at the same price point.

The current model delivers the same 8 Amp bulk charging and 2 Amp maintenance output with expanded chemistry compatibility for both lead-acid and Lithium batteries, plus IP65 weatherproofing for permanent outdoor and engine compartment installation. All existing use cases and applications carry forward with additional capability.

We recommend the current PowerTender® 8 Amp/2 Amp IP65 for all new purchases.

The Battery Tender® Power Tender® 8 Amp/2 Amp Selectable gives you two charge rates in one unit. 8 Amp mode delivers fast recovery — restoring a depleted 60Ah battery in approximately 4–5 hours — and includes full ISM float maintenance, so it is safe to leave connected indefinitely once the battery is full. 2 Amp mode is available for customers who prefer a lower charge rate for peace of mind during long-term storage. Both modes are equally safe for indefinite connection — the ISM algorithm manages absorption and float automatically regardless of which rate is selected.
