Golf carts use either 36V or 48V battery packs — multiple 6V, 8V, or 12V cells wired in series. The Battery Tender® PowerPlus line is purpose-built for golf cart charging: PowerPlus 36V 18 Amp for 36V systems and PowerPlus 48V 15 Amp for 48V systems. Both models are IP68 waterproof and UL marine ignition certified for permanent on-board installation, support both lead-acid and Lithium (LiFePO4) battery packs with Multi-Chemistry selection, and use ISM to transition automatically to float maintenance after charging is complete.
A fully depleted 36V lead-acid pack typically recovers in 8 to 12 hours on a PowerPlus 36V 18 Amp charger and maintainer. A 48V pack recovers in a similar timeframe on the PowerPlus 48V 15 Amp. Lithium golf cart packs charge faster and accept higher charge rates — the same chargers deliver full output to Lithium packs at the correct absorption voltage. For fleet operations or courses that need carts ready faster, the PowerPlus higher-output models significantly reduce turnaround time compared to standard OEM chargers.
